What is Ceramic Fiber Blanket Insulation?

Ceramic Fiber Blanket Insulation is made from spun ceramic fiber and is needle-punched to enhance its handling strength for high-temperature insulation applications. It is available in three standard grades: commercial, High-Purity, and Zirconia grade.All grades of ceramic insulation blanket are lightweight and thermally efficient, offering the advantage of low heat storage and complete resistance to thermal shock. The blankets come in various dimensions, temperature ratings, and are designed for different applications.In addition to the standard grades, our office also supplies a Bio-Soluble blanket that is environmentally friendly. Operating at Higher Temperatures?

Ceramic Fiber Blanket Insulation is now available in a grade manufactured from polycrystalline mullite wool (PCW) that is rated to withstand temperatures up to 3000℉ (1649℃). This particular grade of Ceramic Insulation Blanket is free from binders, additives, or shot content. Complex Shapes & Gas Velocities

Ceramic Fiber Blanket Wet Wool (WW) is specially designed for insulating complex shapes and surfaces that are exposed to high hot gas velocities. The material is impregnated with inorganic bonding agents and packaged in a clear polyethylene bag to retain the wet binder during shipping and storage.During the manufacturing process, the wet wool is transformed into a flexible insulation that can be easily formed to complex shapes in place. Once in position, it air dries and hardens, creating a rigid structure. Alternatively, the material can be cured by immediate exposure to temperature during application.The Ceramic Fiber Blanket Wet Wool has a dry density ranging from 12 to 18 lbs/ft3 (190 to 290 kg/m3).
